Honors 221 A: Evolution and human behavior
This class has been the perfect way to end my academic career in Honors and in psychology! I have been able to support my learning with knowledge I have gained from several of my past classes including Developmental Psychology, Biology, Psychology of Sex, Animal Behavior and the Neuroscience of Sex. It has been so rewarding to be able to integrate the learning I have done over the past 4 years into kicking ass in my last class at the UW!
It turns out that I actually have quite the knack for evolutionary psychology! My research experience and studies in psychology have given me the skills and background to proficiently evaluate and design studies that examine how certain human behaviors have evolved. I really like how clear cut and logical evolutionary psychology is. It feels like a puzzle, one with many possible answers but a single, best fit, oh-so satisfying answer waiting to be discovered. If I didn't have so much momentum behind me for EFP I think I would seriously consider pursuing evolutionary psychology further in academia!
Below are some short papers that present some of the fascinating studies that caught my eye during this quarter!
