Despite all of my time out at horse barns, I also have had an amazing office work experience during college! I was hired as student fiscal assistant for the Honors Program my winter quarter of freshman year and was fortunate to advance in my position throughout my time at the UW. Beyond handling basic reception I had the great responsibility of working with current and prospective Honors students and parents, collaborated with an amazing staff on ways to best advance the Honors curriculum as well as learned a whole bunch about fiscal management and budget reconciliation.
The people in the picture at the top of this page are my family away from home! I am especially grateful for my relationship with my boss Wendy, she is without a doubt my UW mom and has been an invaluable teacher, adviser and friend. This job was the first one that allowed me to regularly and professionally work collaboratively with my friends, and this unique experience gave me a entirely new perspective on teamwork, accountability and communication.
